subtLe to head to China without Wardell and Jonji
After recent news of Anthony "gMd" Guimond and Yassine "Subroza" Taoufik electing not to participate with the FRENCH CANADIANS/Onliners roster competing in the upcoming WESG Finals, free agent Jonathan "Jonji" Carey and Matthew "Wardell" Bowman of Ghost have bowed out as well for the subtLe roster.
Like those before him, Wardell has declined to take part in the international competition due to obligations in ESL Pro League. Jonji, however, continues to assert that he is, at least for now, in a state of early retirement.
In their place, subtLe are hoping to field Tyson "TenZ" Ngo and Ellis "els" Clay, Dust2.us has learned. TenZ was recently benched by BlackOut after competing with the core of the team for the past three seasons of MDL. els, on the other hand, is a long-time Kyle "OCEAN" O'Brien collaborator.
The potential subtLe WESG roster looks like:
- Kyle "OCEAN" O'Brien
- Terry "dsr" Rioux
- Derrick "LILMAN" Boyne
- Ellis "els" Clay
- Tyson "TenZ" Ngo
The WESG Finals will take place March 12-18 in Haikou, China where 32 teams will battle it out for a share of the $1,500,000 prize pool.
