Party Astronauts reform with new trio

Last night Party Astronauts announced their return with a new roster that sees Ben "ben1337" Smith and Bogdan "ogwizard" Savula make the jump from the previous iteration of the iconic orgless tag while being joined by an incoming trio consisting of Matthew "d4rty" Paplawskas, Diego "sacrifice" Camacho, and Oleksandr "xsany" Bubnov.

The conclusion of Party Astronauts' rebuild sees the team come out on the other side of a messy breakup following the departures of Colby "Walco" Walsh and Tommy "Axed" Ryan, which led to a war of words over who was to blame for the breakdown in relationships within the team.

d4rty joins Party Astronauts after starting 2025 on Getting Info under the leadership of Anthony "vanity" Malaspina. This engagement ended up being short-lived as d4rty was the first player to exit the TSM-linked squad in early February as Getting Info struggled to find a consistent roster.

d4rty is joined on Party Astronauts shortly after joining by former FLUFFY AIMERS player sacrifice, who joins his first team since joining being benched by FA in August 2024. While sacrifice has been on the sidelines for sometime, he has kept relatively active with a number of mixteams, notably helping 1JIN win ESEA Main Season 52 last week.

The final piece of the puzzle, xsany, is the least known of the bunch, with the 16-year-old Ukrainian rifler only recently debuting in ESL Challenger League this season with Aetheris/Worms.

With the Eastern European squad xsany has struggled in his first season, posting a less than impressive 0.88 rating over twelve maps. Despite this lack of experience and on-paper prowess, Ben1337 told Dust2.us that ogwizard and him decided to take a chance on xsany after reviewing his demos and having a positive interview with the young player.

This new Party Astronauts roster will have its proper debut tonight against NRG in the PGL Astana 2025 NA Closed Qualifier tonight at 07:00PM.
