Breaking: Party Astronauts reunite, plan rebuild for iconic orgless tag

Multiple members of the former Party Astronauts lineup have confirmed to Dust2.us that the team have reformed the iconic orgless tag and are in the process of rebuilding the lineup. The squad's decision to rebuild Party Astronauts comes after the dramatic demise of the lineup in early February following the departures of Colby "Walco" Walsh and Tommy "Axed" Ryan, which led to a war of words over who was to blame for the team's implosion.

At the time, Walco and Axed's departure from Party Astronauts doomed the squad as they were unable to field a complete roster in ESL Challenger League Season 49, due to being told they were out of roster additions. However, after ESL admitted they misunderstood and miscommunicated their roster change rules for the league, the team were informed they had two additions left, offering a vital lifeline to the squad.

Currently, Party Astronauts' lineup consists of Ben "ben1337" Smith, Bogdan "ogwizard" Savula, and Wesley "viz" Harris from the previous lineup while former Getting Info player Matthew "D4rty" Paplawskas has joined the rebuild. Additionally, Justin "FaNg" Coakley is set to play the team's next three matches in ECL S49 to help the squad retain their spot; publicly commenting on X that he will not be part of the team's rebuild.

The team's decision to stick together and plan a rebuild is fantastic news for the NA scene especially as experienced IGL Ben "ben1337" Smith and Wesley "viz" Harris both previously signaled the demise of the previous iteration of the team may mark the end of their playing careers.
