Official: Walco joins Axed in Party Astronauts exodus

Colby "Walco" Walsh has confirmed to Dust2.us that he has decided to leave Party Astronauts, following former coach Tommy "Axed" Ryan in leaving the team today. The move sees the orgless roster continue to unravel following a charged post from Axed which claimed "a severe lack of internal trust, communication, and respect" in Party Astronauts while alluding to "erratic and irrational roster decisions," which is seemingly tied to Walco's departure today.

Dust2.us reached to Walco for comment on his departure, with the player telling the publication:

We [Walco and Axed] have both left PA after a disagreement too large to work through happened and we believe working through it would’ve been impossible as it had been going on almost the entire duration of the team.

Little to no effort was attempted at trying to understand each other and reach a middle ground for way too long and mixed with attitude issues I decided something needed to change or I would leave.

Walco's departure sees the former Evil Geniuses player leave Party Astronauts after less than a month, with the move seriously compromising the squad's future. The team are out of roster moves in ESL Challenger League Season 49 while it is unlikely BLAST or ESL will allow the team a substitute for the Ace North American Masters Spring 2025 Closed Qualifier or the IEM Dallas 2025 Closed Qualifier, respectively.

Missing out on all of these events would cost the team serious Valve Regional Standing (VRS) points while also denying the squad a chance to qualify for three LAN events. This may prove to be a bridge too far for the squad's survival especially as they will need to find a new fifth post-NA shuffle.

In the intervening time between our previous story and publication of this article, Bogdan "ogwizard" Savula responded to Dust2.us to say he does not know what his plans will be as "there are some things that we are trying to figure out" while Justin "FaNg" Coakley said he is planning on releasing a statement tonight.
