messioso explains why Complexity dropped T.c without having a new coach lined up
Graham "messioso" Pitt, Complexity' Counter-Strike's General Manager, has addressed why Complexity parted ways with Tiaan "T.c" Coertzen without having a replacement lined up during the first episode of his new podcast.
Some COL fans didn't understand why the organization did that and messioso explained why T.c was immediately relieved from his duties.
I think it's the right thing to do. I think it's 100% the right thing to do. If you're going to make a decision that you're going to let someone go, you tell them immediately. You don't drag them on for two weeks, three weeks, while you interview all their replacements behind their back and fire them overnight.
Based on what messioso said, it'll take some time for Complexity to hire another head coach as the organization is still looking for one in the market.
T.c had been a part of Complexity since the organization signed the Extra Salt core in 2022. While the South African coach helped COL to win ESL Challenger Jönköping 2024 and to reach the IEM Sydney 2023 grand finals, the team had disappointing results at the beginning of 2025 after the departure of Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski and the arrivals of Nicholas "nicx" Lee and Danny "Cxzi" Strzelczyk.
After T.c was relieved from his duties, Complexity qualified for PGL Bucharest over Wildcard, where they hope to turn things around after winning just one LAN match this year, against Imperial Valkyries.
