TACO affirmed there are some strange things in leaf's POV

Chaos and leaf still live rent free in TACO's head five years on

TACO says he is still unsure if Chaos and leaf cheated against MIBR five years after their bout in cs_summit 6.

Nearly five years have passed since the tense match between MIBR and Chaos for cs_summit 6 North America in 2020, in which Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo and Vito "kNgV-" Giuseppe accused Chaos and their player Nathan "leaf" Orf, especially, of cheating.

This controversy had been buried since 2020, especially because Chaos disbanded and most of their players — leaf included — left CS:GO to compete in VALORANT. However, the topic has just resurfaced as Epitácio "TACO" de Melo commented during a recent livestream that he still has doubts if Chaos used cheats to win.

TACO said that immediately after MIBR lost to Chaos, people started to tag FalleN on Twitter in what they considered suspicious clips of Chaos and most notably leaf. TACO stressed that he thought at the time that Chaos didn't cheat, but FalleN had a different opinion. Here's what TACO said:

FalleN got pissed, I believe that he was the most displeased among all of us, and he took to Twitter to curse them [the Chaos players]. He didn't curse them, instead, he said that this whole thing was strange.

And then, the scene tore into us. The 'gringos' already hated us, no one could stand us there [in the United States] anymore. By 'gringos', I mean, the 'gringo' community, Richard Lewis, Thorin, these guys. The Americans ripped us to shreds every time they had the opportunity. They started saying that FalleN used his social media leverage to harm the kid. It was leaf, he was a minor.

I analyzed the demos, videos, clips, etc, later. My personal opinion was: 'I thought it was very weird indeed'. I generally don't complain, especially professionally speaking, you never see me complaining to another pro, you know? I think doing that is ridiculous, but there are some strange things. The truth is that POV has some strange things.

I watched, I won't lie to you. There are some strange things, but I can't tell you [if leaf cheated or not]. It's like I say, if God comes down to earth now and says 'My son, if you guess correctly whether leaf cheated or not, you win $1 billion'. I'd say: 'I don't know God, I have no idea.' It's 50/50.

This match had huge repercussions in the CS:GO scene for weeks as MIBR and Chaos kept throwing jabs at one another. But, the Brazilian players and their community never proved that leaf indeed cheated, nor did cs_summit, the organizer of the tournament. He kept competing freely until switching to VALORANT, where he currently plays for G2.
