Guerilla Tactics release ESEA roster, witmer announces retirement
Guerilla Tactics, the ESEA Main team Shawn "witmer" Taylor had recently rejoined, has announced that all of their players have been released from their contracts and are now free agents. Earlier this month, witmer replaced Kevin "poised" Ngo who had then been removed due to a contract dispute.
In a TwitLonger, Justin "coachJ" Anzalone, expressed his desire to leave the team and get his life back together, quoting extremely personal and emotionally-charged life events.
In addition, witmer has announced, also on TwitLonger, that he will no longer play competitively. In the extended tweet, witmer spoke of family and financial issues, unfortunate cicumstances relating to ESEA Season 20, and his experiences with the teams he's been with since then. He has emphasized that he isn't leaving CS, and will look to become a coach, analyst, or caster in the future.
The team currently holds a 6-2 record in Main and has two upcoming matches against Final Feature Gaming on February 21st and main jammers on February 25th. A portion of the roster will stick together in Lucas "Fiziq" Blow and Christopher "Spriggals" Spriggs who will join up again with Belal "FGB" Ahmad and compete as NeedAHome.
The other two players Bradley "crazylegs" Waddington and Marcos "tacitus" Castilho have exited the roster, with tacitus saying on Twitter that he is looking for a team and is open to coaching.
