Complexity part ways with Warden
Complexity have announced the departure of long-time manager and coach Matt "Warden" Dickens from the organization.
Warden and Complexity had one of the longest relationships in esports history, with Warden's first tenure with the organization seeing him among the first North American Counter-Strike superteams. As part of Complexity, he notably won ESWC 2005 and CPL Summer 2006 alongside the likes of Tyler "Storm" Wood, Danny "fRoD" Montaner, Corey "tr1p" Dodd, and Justin "sunman" Summy.
Warden returned to Complexity as a player for a second time in 2007 linking up with the Los Angeles compLexity during their time in the ill-fated Championship Gaming Series.
Following the release of CS:GO, Warden briefly attempting to reignite his playing career before returning to Complexity as a coach and manager, joining the organization alongside the likes of Timothy "autimatic" Ta and Kory "SEMPHIS" Friesen.
Since then, Warden has been a constant fixture within Complexity's CS:GO project, staying with the team through 30 roster changes and through the highs and lows of the team as they dipped to 86th in the world during 2017 before working their way up to number six in the world with the European-based "juggernaut" lineup.
While neither party has officially commented on Warden's departure Jason Lake stated on stream that as the Complexity CS:GO lineup is now based in Europe, it proved to be infeasible for Warden to accommodate the team and his family, especially with COVID-19 greatly limiting travel between North America and Europe.
