Skadoodle claimed the major title in his only playoff appearance

On this day in 2018: Cloud9 win ELEAGUE Boston Major

Cloud9 captured NA's first and only major of CS:GO.

Today marks seven years since Cloud9 defeated FaZe 2-1 to claim the major at ELEAGUE Boston in 2018.

The plucky NA side had a very tough run-in to the final, defeating top-five ranked teams G2 and SK in the quarter and semi-final respectively.

Then came the juggernaut of FaZe. What looked like a would-be coronation of Finn "karrigan" Anderssen and Nikola "NiKo" Kovac, turned into a nightmare for the two legendary players.

FaZe took C9's map pick of Mirage and things looked bleak for the Americans. However, Tarik "tarik" Celik and Tyler "Skadoodle" Latham would lead the fight-back with a resounding performance on Overpass and an overtime win on Inferno which has been and will be talked about for years to come.
