donk says his goal is to win 10 MVP awards in 2025
The consensus best player of 2024, Danil "donk" Kryshkovets, says he wants to win 10 MVP medals in 2025.
At the BLAST Bounty Season 1 media day, donk told Dust2.dk in an interview that he thinks he can at least get more than the 5 MVP awards he won in 2024, setting a goal of claiming 10. "Why not?", he asked the Danish outlet.
At the conclusion of BLAST Bounty Season 1, donk claimed his first MVP award of the year (the 7th of his career) with a superb 1.55 rating across the closed qualifier and the LAN finals. With one MVP before the end of the first month of the year, donk is already on pace to reach the high standard he's set for himself.
The record for most MVP awards won by a player in a single calendar year belongs to Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyljev, who won 8 in 2021. Even if donk only equals his total from last year, he will leap past legends like Christopher "GeT_RiGhT" Alesund and Kenny "kennyS" Schrub in total career MVPs.
donk and Spirit have advantageous starting spots in two upcoming events: IEM Katowice and ESL Pro League S21. Spirit will look to defend their crown in Katowice and make up for an early playoff exit loss to NAVI last season in Pro League.
