NRG rallies with 2-0 win over Nemiga at ESL Pro League S21
NRG continues to assert their control over Train and managed to avoid an 0-2 start in Pro League thanks to a 2-0 win today against Nemiga.
Like their NA counterparts M80, had a more dominant showing on their opponent's map pick than their own. Train got a bit dicey, as Nemiga at one point led 9-5. But Nemiga struggled to get past NRG's CT setups, and even when they did they couldn't clutch out crucial round wins in their post-plants. This all came to a head in round 24, when Nemiga fumbled an incredible lurk through B and a 2v1 on the A site, letting Josh "oSee" Ohm clutch the map-winning round.
That momentum absolutely carried over into Anubis, as NRG picked up a big 9-3 lead right away on their T-side, propped up by a 16-kill first half from Jeorge "Jeorge" Endicott. NRG claimed the second half pistol and the subsequent second round as well, and Nemiga could muster four rounds on their T-side before NRG eventually eventually closed the door on the series.
After letting a chance to beat GamerLegion slip away from them yesterday, today was the perfect response from NRG. Now sitting at 1-1, they have a crucial match tomorrow against an Eternal Fire team that just got stunned by TYLOO.
