Liquid trounced by Legacy 2-0 at PGL Bucharest 2025
Liquid came into Bucharest with a new IGL in Kamil "siuhy" Szkaradek after Justin "jks" Savave was benched from the team.
Legacy came into the match hot and gave Liquid too many issues.
The series started on Legacy's pick of Nuke, where the Brazilian side got off to a hot start, but not before Liquid took the CT side pistol and the following round. After going down 2-0, Legacy took nine of the remaining ten rounds to secure a commanding lead going into the more favored CT side. In what was a great team effort, Lucas "lux" Meneghini stood out by going 11-8 on the attacking side.
The Brazilians closed out the map with ease on the CT side, surrendering just one more round to Liquid to win the map 13-4. lux finished the map with 17 frags - the most in the server - to lead his team to a 1-0 lead in the series.
The series moved to Anubis for the second map, and Legacy elected to start on the T side. It was a close game at the beginning with both teams jockeying for control in the Egyptian map. Roland "ultimate" Tomkowiak had a solid start, going 13-6 on the first side. His team probably would have been happy with the 7-5 deficit going into their T side.
Legacy sprinted out to a 12-5 lead behind Eduardo "dumau" Wolkmer's 14-6 performance on defense in Egypt. Liquid made the game closer but fell short of the comeback to lose the map 13-10 and the match 2-0.
Liquid's next match will be a tough test v. Virtus.pro tomorrow at 06:00AM.
