FISSURE announce tournament dates for 2027 and 2028
Tournament organizer and broadcast company FISSURE have announced four CS2 tournaments in both 2027 and 2028.
The TO, best known in CS for their BetBoom Dacha tournaments, will be contributing to what will surely be busy years for the teams in the scene.
With the schedule being so packed, it will be up to some of the individual teams who garner many invites to decide which events they will attend which they may skip. This may create an interesting dynamic where we will see teams that wouldn't get an invite, benefitting from top sides passing on some events.
The tournaments appear likely to run under the "FISSURE Playground" branding, which they will be using for their events in 2025 and 2026.
Valve's updated rules regarding tournaments and their Valve Ranking System (VRS) oblige TOs to announce their events nearly two years in advance so that they may qualify for VRS event status. Otherwise, an event that isn't a part of the VRS will have no bearing on major qualification, far lower prestige, and likely no top teams attending.
