Nouns can't overcome Monte

It's do or die, now.

After an incredible debut win against Eternal Fire, Nouns were matched up against Monte, who had previously won against TYLOO. In a series where the winner would clinch a playoff spot, Nouns couldn't manage to get the lead once.

Despite the loss, Nouns are still alive in the ESL Challenger Jönköping and will face the winner of Eternal Fire vs. TYLOO tomorrow.

Ancient was the map left open in this best-of-one series between Monte and Nouns, and the Ukrainians started off with a 5-1 lead despite being on the T-side. Nouns managed to get to a 6-4 disadvantage, but Monte would finish the half 8-4 ahead.

The second half saw Monte reaching twelve rounds right away, with the North American squad only getting one round win in the first five played. Nouns reduced the deficit to 12-8 with three straight rounds, but it was too little too late as Monte closed the map 13-8.

Even with the loss, Nouns are not out. The double-elimination GSL format will see Nouns facing either Eternal Fire or TYLOO in a Bo3 series to decide who advances to the playoffs.
