TenZ says CS2 "feels like" VALORANT: "A lot of gunfights are decided based on RNG"
Former CS:GO pro turned VALORANT superstar Tyson "TenZ" Ngo was once very satisfied with CS2, but it turns out he drastically changed his mind about Valve's FPS.
During a recent livestream, TenZ compared CS2 to VALORANT in a negative way and explained why he isn't playing much CS2 nowadays.
"If CS:GO was still around, I probably would play a fair bit of CS:GO," TenZ said.
"I'm not too big of a fan of CS2. I find CS2 feels like VALORANT. In VALORANT a lot of gunfights are decided based on RNG, and you get running sh*t a lot, and the interp is really bad for online play."
TenZ carried on, explaining that some of the things he loved about CS:GO just don't work as much in CS2 like spray control and movement.
For TenZ, it was "absolutely amazing" to put hundreds or thousands of hours into mastering these aspects and get rewarded. Nowadays, he finds movement and spraying not as good and blames subtick for it.
"Subtick makes it a lot harder for you to bhop around and stuff," TenZ said.
"Spray control, being able to get a three-man spray down, is unbelievably satisfying, and then CS2 comes around and it basically becomes VALORANT. Bursting, tapping is way better, sprays are random feeling, you got run shit a lot, and players that aren't as good as you could f*ck you more often."
This is a considerable U-turn for TenZ in regard of what he thinks about CS2 as last year he said during a livestream that CS2 was more fun than VALORANT.
