Complexity draws Falcons, Liquid draws Legacy in first round of PGL Bucharest

Tough opening draw for Complexity.

PGL has announced the first round of matchups for PGL Bucharest 2025, pitting Liquid against Brazilian side Legacy, and the underdog Complexity team against the stacked Falcons roster.

But if one or both teams can make it past their opening matchups, the road to a potential trophy isn't as dangerous as other tournaments. Spirit, Vitality, NAVI, and MOUZ are all not competing, and both NA teams have managed to avoid powerhouses like G2, FaZe, Eternal Fire, and The MongolZ in round one.

While Liquid has struggled against the very top echelon of CS2 teams in 2025, they've had good showings against Brazilian teams, notching wins over FURIA and Imperial. Complexity had a strong run against NA teams in the Bucharest qualifier, but have really struggled on the international stage, and are still without a head coach.

The 16 teams in attendance will competing in a Swiss stage with the top eight advancing to an eight-team playoff.

Here are all eight opening round matches at PGL Bucharest 2025:

  • The MongolZ v. 3DMAX

  • Virtus.pro v. Rare Atom

  • Falcons v. Complexity United States

  • G2 v. GamerLegion

  • Eternal Fire v. paiN Brazil

  • World Liquid v. Legacy Brazil

  • FaZe v. Astralis Denmark

  • Brazil FURIA v. Apogee

Matches begin on Sunday, April 6th.
