Daaku top final Dust2.us Eagle Masters Series #1 qualifier

The Swedish-American mixteam is headed to our first $10,000 event!

This weekend the final open qualifier for the Dust2.us Eagle Masters Series #1 was played on the INUI platform, seeing twelve teams join us despite a busy weekend that also featured the PGL Astana NA Closed Qualifier. These twelve teams ultimately faced off in four rounds of round of play, with the recently formed Swedish-American team Daaku topping the stack.

Daaku's road to the finals began with a 13-9 win against Ukrainian squad Junga on Mirage before the team bested Tortuga 13-8 on Anubis. This led into the team making the finals after claiming a confident 13-5 victory over F5 in the semifinals taking down the team with no trouble despite F5 besting Party Astronauts earlier in the night.

On the other side of the bracket, Take Flyte started their run to the finals with a round one bye before securing an overtime 16-13 win over Redacted Society on Ancient. Take Flyte would then beat Revel 13-8 on Anubis, denying the latter team a spot in the main event despite their many attempts.

With Daaku and Take Flyte left standing, unfortunately the finals went unplayed as scheduling conflicts forced Take Flyte to forfeit the finals, giving Daaku the final win they needed to make the main event.

Daaku consists of:

  • United States Wyatt "Weeza" Sahrmann

  • United States Christian "mcniff" McNiff

  • Sweden Simon "nomizz" Palm Niléhn

  • Sweden Anton "dottie" Alevärn

  • "rain"
