BLUEJAYS return to Counter-Strike with BOSS
BLUEJAYS have re-entered the Counter-Strike scene today with the signing of all BOSS players and their coach, the Danish-German organization announced on February 21st.
This is great news for not only BOSS but the whole North American scene as one more organization decided to invest in the region.
BLUEJAYS had been absent from CS since 2023 when they parted ways with a North Macedonian roster spearheaded by Aleksandar "CacaNito" Kjulukoski. The organization also fielded players like Jon "JDC" de Castro, Pavle "Maden" Bošković, and Damjan "kyxsan" Stoilkovski in the past.
BOSS, on the other hand, has been around since 2023. They have been a solid team so far in 2025, boasting a 14-2 record in the ESL Challenger League Season 49 NA and leading the league. They also nearly qualified for BLAST Open Lisbon, but lost to M80 in the grand finals.
Getting support from an organization will serve as great motivation for BOSS to continue climbing the Valve Regional Standings (VRS) and try to qualify for the BLAST.tv Austin Major in June. They're currently ranked 14th in the Americas and 48th in the global standings.
"With their firepower and experience, we’re ready to make waves on both sides of the Atlantic," BLUEJAYS said in the official announcement. "With Coach Matt "Warden" Dickens, a true CS 1.6 icon, at the helm, our BLUEJAYS CS2 squad is in the best hands. His experience, leadership, and strategic mind will be key as we take on the North American scene and beyond."
The players will make their debut under the BLUEJAYS banner against Marsborne on February 26th as these teams are slated to play in ECL S49 NA that day.
BLUEJAYS are:
Adam "freshie" Paterson
Keller "SLIGHT" Nilan
Gavin "Fruitcupx" Norman
Kyle "Wolffe" Greenfield
Wyatt "snav" Phillippi
Matt "Warden" Dickens (Coach)
