Counter-Strike is more than just about getting the bag

Twistzz: "If I wanted the bag & I didn’t care about my career then I would go to Falcons"

More to life than just money.

Russel "Twistzz" Van Dulken quickly becoming one of the more sought-after players this year was a surprise to many. At first, he was initially rumored to be a target of Falcons, then held talks with Vitality, before finally verbally agreeing to join Liquid and returning to the organization after only a few years away.

Falcons have jumped into the spotlight in recent months with their recent signings of former Vitality and Astralis coach Danny "zonic" Sørensen and Emil "Magisk" Reif. The organization had also made a significant offer for G2 rifler Nikola "NiKo" Kovač, however, the player turned it down at the last minute. The Saudi Arabian organization has also been under speculation of having direct ties to the Saudi Royal Family and Public Investment Fund, the latter of which Mossad "Msdossary" Aldossary, Founder of Falcons, has denied.

In an interview for pley.gg, Twistzz talked about his potential move to Falcons and what that association with the Middle East country would entail in terms of morals.

During the interview, Twistzz confirmed there was an approach from the Saudi organization, but the Canadian didn't even let that escalate into a formal offer. He swiftly turned Falcons down, stating that it's not about the money and if he "wanted the bag and didn't care about [his] career then [he] would go to Falcons."

The main issue for the two-time IEM Grand Slam winner is that he doesn't want to be "affiliated with that stuff at all." Twistzz also argues that the fact Falcons don't have any partner spots and have to qualify for every event they want to partake is also a big disadvantage, as "these big events make a big difference when it comes to Valve's ranking".

When asked to give his opinion about Falcons and Saudi Arabia, in general, involvement in Counter-Strike, Twistzz refused to answer. When questioned if he thinks it's morally wrong to play for Falcons, he replied that he "cannot imagine this move ever."
