CS2 ends March 2025 with record-high concurrent player average since release
Counter-Strike 2 ended the month of March with the highest average player count in the game's lifespan. Valve released a content update to cap off the month, adding new skins and updating two different maps.
Throughout the last five months, the average concurrent player count has steadily rose month over month, until the culmination in March. The Valve FPS had an average of 1,039,662 players throughout the year's third month.
In what was arguably a bigger achievement, CS2 surpassed CS:GO's peak player count on March 15th, with a figure of 1,818,368 players.
Valve released the "Spring Forward" update to end this historic month with a bang. It added new Armory content, new skin collections to weekly drops, a Train 2025 collection, and updates to Train and Inferno.
