Complexity pick up a 13-0 win in YaLLa Compass qualifier
UPDATE: The YaLLa Compass Qatar 2025 main event takes place during the same dates as the North America MRQ, meaning Complexity almost certainly won't attend even if they qualify. The rest of the article continues as originally written.
Complexity is slowly heating up after some tough international losses to start the year. Earlier today, the NA roster won all three of its best-of-one matches during the YaLLa Compass Qatar 2025 closed qualifier, moving closer to the $600,000 main event.
Complexity 13-6 Nemiga
The team began their day with a comfortable win against Nemiga on Anubis, going a perfect 7-for-7 in their T-side rounds in the second half to take the match 13-6. Danny "cxzi" Strzelczyk anchored the team with a 27 kill game, while only giving up 11 deaths, producing a staggering player rating of 2.43.
Complexity 13-0 Imperial Valkyries
That confidence carried over to a match on Ancient against Imperial Valkyries, where Complexity put on a flawless 13-0 performance. 12 of those rounds came on the T-side in the first half, and a successful CT side pistol secured the 13-0 against the Brazilian side.
Complexity 16-13 Metizport
Finally, Complexity faced a major challenge in Metizport, trailing the Swedish side 9-3 at the half. But for the third map in a row, Complexity's sensational T-side led the way, forcing overtime where they would eventually emerge victorious, 16-13. After a quiet day through the first two maps, Håkon "hallzerk" Fjærli made a major impact on the AWP.
The hot start in the YaLLa Compass Qatar 2025 closed qualifier comes just less than a month after another successful qualifier campaign. At the beginning of March, Complexity secured a PGL Bucharest spot after running though the NA qualifier. Since Cluj-Napoca, they're won 16 of their last 17 maps played.
