CS2 reaches all-time Counter-Strike concurrent player peak

Counter-Strike has literally never been more popular.

After months of chasing the record set by CS:GO in its final months, CS2 has now reached its highest ever concurrent player peak.

Today, on March 15th, Counter-Strike 2 hit an all-time peak of 1,824,989 players, the most ever in the game's recorded history that dates back more than 13 years. Since this past July, the player peak had been steadily increasing each month, and just this past February, CS2 was averaging over a million players.

As alluded to above, the previous concurrent player peak of 1,818,773 was set in the final months of CS:GO, in May 2023. That time represented an intersection of two major events: the announcement of the CS2 limited test just a couple months prior, and the release of the viewer pass for the final CS:GO Major, BLAST.tv Paris.

With this latest accomplishment, it's clear that CS2's spot on the top of the Steam player charts won't be touched for some time. Perhaps the game can even hit a historical 2,000,000 concurrent players the closer we get to the Major.
