NSG expands National Championship Series with GEX, Midwest Esports and Underwatch

N3rd Street's national new CS:GO circuit announces partner organizations for the upcoming year.

N3rd Street Gamers, the Comcast Spectacor-backed esports tournament organizers, have announced three partner organizations for their upcoming National Championship Series.

The series will begin with GEX DC Area Esports, with a one-day NCS Minor CS:GO event on January 26th. The tournament will be held at the RISE Convention Center in Washington DC featuring a $3,200 prize pool and sixteen teams, all of which have been filled. After this they are set to host "monthly NCS Academy events" for the remainder of the year, with the organizers announcing they're looking to host NCS Major and Minor tournaments at their upcoming GEXcon 2019, in June 28th - 30th.

NSG previously partnered with GEX on a number of occasions, including the GEX DC Area CS:GO Showcase in July 2017, won by lol yeah, and the Cougar CS:GO Open 2018 at last year's GEXcon, where Vision won over x1 Academy.

The second tournament organizer announced as part of the NCS are the hosts of Tokyo in Tulsa, Midwest Esports. Their upcoming Wichita Esports Convention, held at the Wichita State University, Kansas, will host a two-day CS:GO tournament as part of the NCS circuit. The non-BYOC tournament will feature $5,000 in prizepool and will be taking place over February 2nd-3rd with more details found on the organizer's website.

NSG directly cited the $10,000 Tokyo in Tulsa event, a tournament that acted as a qualifier for the NSG Eastern Conference Championship at the end of last year, as an addition to the NCS network. Tokyo in Tulsa was also won by Vision, this time after a win against BlackOut.

The final organization announced by N3rd Street Gamers, so far, is the Boston-based Underwatch. The two have collaborated on events multiple times in the past, most recently with the $4,350 NSG Academy - Underwatch CS:GO event in November, where slashLEVEL took the title over Northeast Mayhem.

The two return with a one-day Academy Bootcamp, which will be held today at the Balance Patch gaming cafe in Boston, Massachusetts. The organization is also set to be hosting events at the Minor tier of the circuit's competition, with the next looking to take place on February 23rd - 24th.

The National Championship Series will concluded it's circuit with a grand finals event at the Localhost Arena, in Denver, Colorado where $50,000 will be on offer. Competition at the above's tournaments will contribute points to potential qualification for the event.
