EliGE distances himself from the rest of NA with latest Major qualification

He stands alone and may not be caught for a long time.

With Complexity's win against M80 and subsequent qualification for the Perfect World Shanghai Major, the team's star Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski has widened the gap between himself and the rest of North America.

The upcoming Major will be the 14th that EliGE competes in, the most of any North American player. This feat also puts him right behind some of the players around the world with the most appearances all-time, though several of the names above him can also add to their individual totals by qualifying for the PW Shanghai Major.

The top five North American players in all-time Major appearances are:

  • EliGE: 14

  • nitr0: 12

  • Skadoodle: 10

  • n0thing: 10

  • NAF: 10

With Liquid also qualifying for the PW Shanghai Major, Keith "NAF" Markovic has now cracked double-digit appearances and a spot in the top five amongst NA players. NAF also holds the distinction of having the most appearances amongst Canadian players, with Liquid teammate Russel "Twistzz" Van Dulken right behind him with nine.

For EliGE, reaching the Major this time around feels especially satisfying, telling Dust2.us that he believed this RMR to be "the hardest [Americas RMR] ever."
