After missing the last Major, Liquid are back to the biggest stage

Complexity and Liquid advance to PW Shanghai Major; BOSS eliminated

M80 are still alive but the road is tough.

After a surprisingly flawless Wildcard qualification yesterday, Complexity and Liquid are stacking the North American deck in the first Shanghai Major, advancing to the big stage with wins over M80 and FURIA, respectively.

M80 is the only North American team left alive in the Americas RMR with a 2-2 record, meaning they could also play the tiebreak series even after winning the 2-2 match.

The third day started with bad news for NA as BESTIA eliminated BOSS in a 2-1 series, despite BOSS taking map one. At the same time, paiN destroyed 9z 2-0, including a 13-0 win on Dust2.

Complexity was next on the qualification list, defeating M80 13-8 and 13-9, on Anubis and Vertigo, respectively. In a similar series, Imperial would stay alive and send KRÜ back to South America.

To end day three of the PW Shanghai Major Americas RMR, RED Canids and Marcelo "coldzera" David would eliminate Legacy 2-0, while Liquid and FURIA fought for a spot in the Major. Ultimately it would be Liquid grabbing the win, in a series that started with two comfortable map pick wins for both teams and ended in a close 13-7 Inferno.
