NRG look to get revenge in IEM Chengdu Open Qualifier #2

With only one spot left in the IEM Closed Qualifier, North American teams are fighting tooth and nail for their chance to make it to Chengdu, China. Most of the teams that reached the RO16 of the first Open Qualifier earlier this week managed to do the same again.

NRG are looking to get revenge, as they once again meet Badass who had previously knocked the Canadians out. MIGHT and Wildcard will also face each other in the quarterfinal after losing in the same stage just a few days ago. Notably, LOS fell to Carpe Diem 13-9 once more, after doing so during the Americas RMR Closed Qualifier last week.

The quarterfinal matches are set to begin today at 06:00PM, and the rest of the bracket is scheduled to be played throughout the night. The two highest-rated teams in the tournament are on opposite sides of the bracket, as Nouns can only face Badass in the grand final.

While NRG and Badass get a rematch, Nouns will face Zomblers after not playing the first OQ, Carpe Diem, and Rocket will go head to head, and MIGHT vs. Wildcard will happen for the first time ever.

The winner of the IEM Chengdu Open Qualifier #2 will join M80, BOSS, and Liquid in the Closed Qualifier, which starts tomorrow.
