WITHOUTWARNING disband after months of inactivity
Dust2.us has confirmed that WITHOUTWARNING, a team originally created by Gabe "Spongey" Greiner and Saad "Pluto" Siraj, have disbanded after being unable to assemble a roster for ESL Challenger League Season 46. The decision comes after a lengthy period of near-inactivity for the team, with the squad only playing two maps since July, and never making their debut in ECL S46.
The road to dissolution for WITHOUTWARNING started in mid-October when Spongey decided to step down from the team. At the time, he noted that he did not feel the team was improving at a rate he was happy with, leading to him taking a break from competition. With a key piece out of the team, David "J0LZ" Jolin also announced his intentions to search for a new home before later deciding to try and rebuild the roster.
This task became easier said than done once Pluto announced his intentions to sit out the season while J0LZ and Andrew "Tender" Cote decided they did not want to play with Andrew "Andrew" Burrell. This left the duo needing to bring Kevin "consti" Yi back into the team to hold on to the spot while also searching for two new members. This task proved too high a bar to clear in the tenth week of ECL and the first week of ESEA Advanced Season 47, thus the roster has decided to fold.
WITHOUTWARNING consisted of:
-
Saad "Pluto" Siraj
-
Andrew "Tender" Cote
-
