EPL Week 1 Recap - Ghost shock MIBR
The first week of ESL Pro League Season 8 has come to a close, seeing Ghost and Renegades surprise with placements in the top 3 alongside MIBR.
The most notable set of matches this week saw Ghost kick off their foray in EPL with a double-header win over MIBR on Cache and Mirage. Joshua "steel" Nissan ensured an even stronger debut for himself as he helped Ghost to take another 2-0 win over NRG the following day before eventually dropping a single map to eUnited 16-14.
Similarly, Renegades worked their way to the #1 spot with wins over eUnited, compLexity, and Rogue; however, the Australian team's first true test in EPL still awaits as they're set to go up against Ghost, Liquid, MIBR, and Cloud9 next week.
