3DMAX terminate "disgraceful" CSGOEmpire sponsorship after backlash

The French org received backlash for their brief association with the site.

French organization 3DMAX have announced the termination of their short-lived partnership with CSGOEmpire following backlash towards the controversial CS2 skins gambling website. 3DMAX's attempt to partner with CSGOEmpire has first brought to light by a number of French insiders including Guillaume "neL" Rathier and Mac Coy who released pictures showing 3DMAX player Lucas "Lucky" Chastang wearing a 3DMAX jersey emblazoned with the CSGOEmpire wordmark.

Rathier and Coy were brutal in their assessments of 3DMAX's partnership with CSGOEmpire, blasting the organization for working with an "openly racist" organization with Rathier calling it a "disgrace".

CSGOEmpire are an extremely controversial entity in the Counter-Strike space, most infamously for their storming of the stage at the PGL Copenhagen Major in a "pathetic and bizarre display" targeting business rival CSGORoll. This act of criminal trespass was widely condemned by the CS2 community especially as CSGOEmpire's owner Ossi "Monarch" Ketola and his sycophantic clingers-on promised further disruptions at the event and beyond while offering a feigned apology.

Furthermore, CSGOEmpire exists as one of a number of unregulated and shady skins gambling websites that exist in a legal "gray area" and have been known to target children and other vulnerable groups. Additionally, the website has been known to attempt to intimidate and harass those who oppose the website or their business interests.

If that isn't enough, the website was seen promoting a skin giveaway on X with an overt Nazi Swastika as part of a continued approach of having no ethical or moral barrier when it comes to promoting their service all in the pursuit of making money.

Following the backlash, 3DMAX was quick to respond and terminate the partnership stating the organization unequivocally rejects CSGOEmpire's values and communications. However, the company declined to say why they initially elected to partner with a known pariah in the space outside of it being a "strategic economic decision".

As can be expected, CSGOEmpire and Monarch responded to the termination with a series of feigned apologies and anti-French promotions, further underscoring the extreme risk organizations take onboard when working with a company with no sense of decency or norms.
