Update: Electronic Sports Venezuela announce $2,000 league with NA qualifier
Latin American tournament organizer Electronic Sports Venezuela has announced the ESV Latam Series 2025, a $,2000 league set to run from Early April to Late June. The ambitious league from the new tournament organizer will feature eleven teams from Venezuela, Colombia, Mexico, Peru, and the United States, with American teams having two spots in the event.
The league will feature a group stage similar to ESL Challenger League, with teams playing in a round-robin Bo1x2 bracket to determine the top four teams that will advance to playoffs. Playoffs will be single-elimination Bo3 to determine the winner of the league.
As the event has a fairly large time commitment and comes right before IEM Dallas and the BLAST.tv Austin Major, ESV Latam Series 2025 is likely best suited for ESEA Advanced and ESEA Main teams that are not as busy and are able to make the commitment of the two-month long league.
The signup link for the NA qualifier may be found here.
Update: Following publication of this article, ESV informed Dust2.us that they will now allow Canadians to signup for the American qualifier, making it an NA qualifier. Additionally, they have given the NA qualifier an extra spot, increasing them to three while the tournament as a whole will feature twelve teams.
