Ghost return to Counter-Strike after six years
Six years after exiting Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Ghost have returned to the world of Counter-Strike esports with the signing of an ESL Impact roster set to compete as the organization's main team. The signing sees Ghost assemble a new female core consisting of pieces previously tied to Blue Otter Karma, FLUFFY MAFIA, and Evil Geniuses Gold.
In this new lineup, a plurality of players come from the former Blue Otter Karma squad led by Emmalee "EMUHLEET" Garrido. While Blue Otter never announced the dissolution of their Impact squad, EMUHLEET confirmed to Dust2.us the contracts lapsed at the start of the year. She is joined on this new Ghost roster by former teammate Elena "Ellie" Garland and coach David "XP3" Garrido.
They are joined by Kiki "PiggyKiki" Long, a Chinese player most known for her time with Evil Geniuses in 2022 and 2023. Since then, PiggyKiki has played for a number of squads including Lotus, Limitless Angels, and FLUFFY MAFIA. However, sources say PiggyKiki was close to a move to VALORANT, with the player set to join Gen.G in Game Changers before the move fell apart at the start of the year.
The signing also sees Tilde "7licious" Byström return to competition after last playing for Evil Geniuses Gold in 2023. Since then 7licious has been focusing on broadcast work but will be pivoting back to her playing career with Ghost.
Finally, 22-year-old Mira "Mira" Luna rounds out the roster after previous stints on notable subtop NA Impact squads including Tsunami Sirens and Limitless Angels.
