TR0JN returns to LAG amidst role shuffle
LAG have announced the return of Alperen "TR0JN" Kilic to the team's ranks, seeing the Turkish-American AWPer replace Raymon "rayxts" Mando within the team's ranks. The change comes after TR0JN had been spotted filling in for rayxts for sometime, with the Canadian playing his final match for the team back on January 23rd.
Deniz "Experative" Mutlum told Dust2.us that the change was made on mutual terms due to a role imbalance on the team, with the addition of TR0JN giving the team a much-needed primary AWPer while also allowing German import Samet "SnacKZ1" Hosel to play roles he is more comfortable with.
TR0JN also fills two other important roles in the team, firstly by allowing the squad to maintain the core they used in ESL Challenger League last season. Additionally, as he is a Turkish-American dual citizen, by donning an American flag he allows the team to stay in the Americas VRS and thus earn invites to local events.
Meanwhile, rayxts told Dust2.us that he decided to leave the team not due to role issues, but rather with a more fundamental disagreement on how the team was playing, with his belief being drastic change was needed to have the team become competitive in the league.
With ECL S49 well underway, LAG will need to hit the ground running as the team currently have a dismal 1-9 record in the league.
LAG are now:
-
Wyatt "Weeza" Sahrmann
-
Deniz "Experative" Mutlum
-
Samet "SnacKZ1" Hosel
-
Eric "spud" Wickenhauser
-
Alperen "TR0JN" Kilic
LAG's next match in ECL S49 is set to be against Bad News Capybaras on February 18th.
