Wildcard Academy close ranks with from Astralis Talent player

From one academy team to another.

Wildcard have announced the final piece of their European academy team, announcing the addition of 17-year-old Danish player Simon "sSen" Solnæs Iversen today. The Dane rounds out the international roster after a week of announcements from the Texan organization.

As previously mentioned, sSen joins Wildcard Academy after spending the majority of his career on the most recent iteration of Astralis' academy team. While he has less accolades than some of his other academy teammates, sSen notably finished second in the recent Dust2.dk Ligaen Season 27, Denmark's top domestic league, and also netted a top four finish earlier in 2024 at Kosovar LAN XP Game Fest 2024 in Pristina.

Likewise, his list of former is less star-studded than say Sebastian "fr3nd" Kuśmierz, but you may recognize Alexander "tOPZ" Miklagard from Copenhagen Wolves or Alan "yoomswa" Groot, who sSen briefly played with on Soul's Heart at the end of the year. While that name may not immediately be familiar you likely know his older brother, Fisher College's Nils "ReFuZR" Groot.

Wildcard Academy are now:

  • Sweden Leo "Wonder" Wänlund

  • Sebastian "fr3nd" Kuśmierz

  • Michal "T4gg3D" Vrzal

  • Tiago "TMKj" Martins

  • Denmark Simon "sSen" Solnæs Iversen

  • Łukasz "splawik" Jahns (Coach)
