ESL Challenger Atlanta opening matchups to feature M80 v. Wildcard grudge match
ESL has revealed the opening matchups and seeds for ESL Challenger Atlanta ahead of the start of NA's final professional LAN event of 2024. Based on the ESL World Ranking, Portuguese lineup SAW has claimed the top seed for the event, while M80 and Wildcard have received the third and sixth seeds, respectively.
Because of their seeds, M80 and Wildcard will face off in one of Group B's opening matchups, while ODDIK will face BIG in the other matchup.
While this domestic matchup means one of NA's two teams is guaranteed to be sent into Group B's elimination match, it also guarantees, at the very least, that in a worst-case scenario, one of the two teams will make the decider match for a chance to make playoffs on Sunday.
Over in Group A, SAW is set to face off against heavy underdogs Rooster, while FlyQuest will face off against BetBoom.
