Wildcard claim NA spot for Atlanta

Wildcard is one of the final teams to qualify for the upcoming ESL Challenger Atlanta event, which will take place this October. The victory comes as the team are in a dominant run of form which includes a flawless qualification in the 2024 Perfect World Shanghai Major Americas RMR North American Closed Qualifier.

Josh "JBa" Barutt and his squad of international superstars cruised through the entire qualifier by only dropping a single map. Wildcard started off by dispatching Party Astronauts 2-0 before taking a close victory against NRG, 2-1, in the upper bracket final.

NRG were able to bounce back as they eliminated Nouns 2-0, who had previously bid goodbye to Party Astronauts who exited the event without winning a single map. The performance was not unexpected as both Danny "cxzi" Strzelczyk and Adam "WolfY" Andersson were expected to leave the lineup after the qualifier.

As NRG were able to make it back to the Grand Final, Wildcard had a much easier time on NRG's pick of Ancient as Wildcard held their opponents to just thirteen rounds over the two maps.

Wildcard can now add ESL Challenger Atlanta to the list of their impressive LAN invites as they will be traveling to Malta for ESL Pro League Season 20 and later on this fall for the Americas RMR in Shanghai.
