What to expect from M80 vs. Fnatic
M80 is off to a flying start at ESL Pro League Season 20, after a decisive 2-0 victory against their NA counterparts in Complexity. But there's little time to celebrate as the team now has to look ahead to their first match against a European opponent in almost two months. M80 faces a sturdy Fnatic roster looking to build more momentum after its acquisition of Benjamin "blameF" Bremer.
M80 looks explosive
M80 looked to be in fine form versus Complexity in their Pro League opener, posting a flawless CT side on Ancient, an impeccable T side on Anubis, and showing their resolve by holding on in the face of a potential comeback. In addition to playing well, M80 showed no fear and capitalized on a tilted Complexity roster, with Mason "Lake" Sanderson in particular talking smack throughout the series.

Fnatic flexing their muscles
Fnatic found victory versus Astralis in their Pro League opener, and while that win provided some closure to blameF, it also showed the strengths and weaknesses of the current roster. Between blameF, Matúš "MATYS" Šimko, and the seemingly eternal KRIMZ, Fnatic has a number of players capable of special individual performances. But it was a shockingly poor performance from afro on the AWP, who's dismal numbers thankfully didn't cost his team a win.

Previous matchups
Fnatic and M80 have never played each other.
Likely Vetoes
These map veto predictions are speculative, but are based on the assumption that Fnatic will opt to veto second.
-
M80 ban Dust2 (Nuke is their permaban, but it's also Fnatic's permaban)
-
Fnatic ban Nuke (Permaban)
-
M80 pick Ancient (most played/picked map, just held Complexity to zero T side rounds)
-
Fnatic pick Vertigo (9-3 in last 12 played)
-
M80 bans Inferno (only played 3 times in last 3 months, compared to 14 played by Fnatic)
-
Fnatic bans Mirage (least played map with lowest win rate other than Nuke)
-
Anubis is decider
There's a chance Fnatic picks Inferno instead, which would cause M80 to ban Vertigo instead, but the rest of the vetoes should remain the same. Ancient has been a strong point for both teams.
This will be another uphill battle for M80, and if they're able to pull out another win in Pro League, it won't look as easy as their win versus Complexity looked. This one can go either way, but M80 still feels like a slight underdog.
