CCT Season 2 NA Series 3 Group Stage invites revealed

CCT Season 2 is set to return to North America with its third series set to start tonight. Ahead of the start of the online event, CCT revealed the invites to the group stage of the $20,000 event, with a mixture of ESL Challenger League teams, ESEA Advanced teams, and some curious mixteams set to compete.

The favorites to make the playoffs include the likes of Akimbo, E-Xolos LAZER, Mythic, undefined, and DETONATE, while squads like Final Form, Homyno, InControl, and Limitless are also poised to potentially do some damage.

Beyond that, there are so truly odd squads in attendance like a European mix called Dangerous. While many of the players on the team have been in NA for some time, the presence of Saveliy "jmqa" Bragin on the roster is truly surprising.

For those who don't remember, jmqa was a part of the Quantum Bellator Fire roster that made a top-eight finish at the ELEAGUE Boston Major six years ago. jmqa has, of course, continued to compete since then but never in North America.

Lore's presence in the bracket is also quite interesting as the organization do not currently host a roster officially, with the squad also consisting of a mix of Ukrainian and Belarusian players and Josiah "JoJo" Jimenez.

Matches are set to start tonight at 06:00PM, with E-Xolos LAZER facing off against DETONATE while Mythic will play Final Form at 09:00PM.
