Revenge Nation swap two as visa issues hit team

Revenge Nation has seen two changes yo their ranks as Andrey "S0ph3R" Afanasyev is set to return to Russia due to visa issues while Maxwell "xam" Power has also stepped down from the lineup, with the two players leaving on September 5th. In their place, Revenge Nation are set to finish ESL Challenger League Season 48 with Andrey "HorizoN" Charykov, who has returned from his trip to Russia, and Evan "Evan" Cawthorn who is set to make his ECL debut.

S0ph3R told Dust2.us that he is set to return to Russia after having his visa application rejected twice in Serbia and Qatar, leaving him with no other option but to return to his home country for the time being. As for xam, Elliot "MagiC" Iler confirmed the American has left the team but did not respond to a further request for comment. Likewise, Dust2.us was unable to reach out to xam due to the player seemingly deleting his X account.

While HorizoN is a known quality on this team, Evan is a fresh face to this roster and ECL in general. He has been grinding at the ESEA Advanced level for some time, with his most notable team to date being huge sweaty, a team that also featured young guns Pishoy "den1ed" M. and Lucas "LUKE4k" Mizumoto.

Revenge Nation currently sit towards the bottom of ECL S48 with a 4-6 record, with the team team aiming to avoid having to play Relegation in their first ECL season.
