Launders pitches Nouns DAO to become title sponsor of Launders LAN 2
Earlier this year, CS caster and personality Mohan "launders" Govindasamy hosted a tournament with Rivalry titled the Launders LAN in Toronto, Canada. At that event, Fluffy Aimers took home the $6,000 CAD grand prize. Since then, Launders has expressed interest in creating a sequel to the event, titled Launders LAN 2.
The Nouns DAO functions as a decentralized authority of sorts of the Nouns treasury, which funds the Nouns and Nouns fe Counter-Strike teams, among other projects aimed to promote the NFT and DAO.
Launders has launched a proposal for the DAO seeking $39,125 in exchange for a title sponsorship. The proposal includes plans to sell a Nouns x BOXR merchandise collaboration with a hat and official event t-shirt as well as speaking opportunities from Nouns leadership, provided travel for four winners via Nouns community vote, Nouns-themed food and beverages, and more.
Launders plans to allocate around half of of the $39,125 raised towards the prize pool, raising it to $25,001, making the event break the record for the largest Canadian local LAN prize pool. The remainder of the sum would go towards Nouns brand integration as listed above and supporting operational expenses.
The proposal opens for voting tomorrow, September 1st, and requires a quorum of 67 votes to pass (a person can vote the number of times equivalent to the number of Nouns NFT's they own).
