Elevate release timbermen squad following RMR failure

Elevate have announced today that the organization has parted ways with their Counter-Strike 2 roster, seeing the timbermen lineup leave the organization after six months. Elevate returned to the Counter-Strike scene in mid-February, returning to the NA scene after a nine-year hiatus.

During the lineup's time under Elevate, they most notably attended the PGL Major Copenhagen 2024 Americas RMR and the BLAST Premier Spring Showdown 2024 early in their tenure. While these high-profile outings to Mexico and Europe were tainted by Deni "dea" Ediev being unable to attend due to losing his passport, they were the peak of this new page in timbermen's career as they looked to assert themselves as a top NA team.

While the team were unable to truly breakthrough and consistently challenge the likes of Nouns, Wildcard, and M80, the Elevate lineup maintained a high level of competitiveness in the NA scene, winning Fragadelphia Kansas City 2024 in June while overall being a playoffs contender in various online cups and leagues.

In the team's final outing under the Elevate banner, the squad fell in the Perfect World Shanghai Major Americas RMR NA Closed Qualifier with a 2-2 record, with the squad falling in a extremely close and controversial series against BOSS.

It is currently unknown if the squad intend on sticking together, with Wyatt "snav" Phillippi not responding to a request for comment from Dust2.us. Additionally, Elevate's CEO, Justin Tan, did not respond to a request for comment on the decision to release the team, however the organization stated on X that this roster is not the end of their involvement in CS2.
