Official: dea returns to Elevate's starting lineup
Dust2.us has confirmed with Elevate that Deni "dea" Ediev is set to return to the organization's starting lineup, rejoining his long-time teammates after a spat saw the Russian AWPer leave the team on July 17th. During his time on Elevate's bench, the team had been fielding Tianyi "Fr3nk1e" He as a stand-in for ESL Challenger League Season 48 and the NA Revival Series #1 however his services are seemingly no longer needed with Elevate's roster mending bridges.
dea's departure from Elevate's starting lineup on the 17th was shrouded in mystery, with dea and Elevate's IGL, Wyatt "snav" Phillippi, declining to go into any detail over what led the roster to unceremoniously boot one of their best players.
Furthermore, Elevate's CEO Justin Tan was equally elusive on the subject. He told Dust2.us that dea "won’t be back in the lineup" on July 19th before also declining to go into details on his departure.
This radio silence largely continued until last night when Tan told Dust2.us that dea would be rejoining the lineup, with the team working out some nondescript differences and disagreements.
Dust2.us has attempted to gather more details from dea and snav, however neither have responded to a request for comment on details of the nature of the team's disagreement with dea.
Elevate are back to their old lineup consisting of:
-
Wyatt "snav" Phillippi
-
Derek "dare" Brown
-
Shane "shane" Dressler
-
Jaxon "Peeping" Cornwell
-
Deni "dea" Ediev
With bridges mended, dea will presumably be in action for Elevate's doubleheader against Nouns tonight at 09:00PM in ECL S48.
