ESEA announces team list for MDL Season 27

Six teams have been promoted from lower divisions, and a mystery EPL team will be joining the fight.

ESEA have announced the team lists for the North American, European, and Australian Mountain Dew League divisions.

For North America, the list holds few surprises, as the top four teams from Main, and the winners of Intermediate and Open have all been up, mirroring previous seasons.

The full team list for ESEA MDL S27 (in order of S26 placing) is as follows:

  • Rise Nation
  • United States GX
  • United States Ghost Academy
  • Gale Force
  • United States Mythic
  • United States ex-Beacon
  • Canada FRENCH CANADIANS
  • Canada subtLe
  • United States LFAO
  • Torqued
  • United States F1-racecar-PEEK
  • United States Iceberg
  • United States BlackOut
  • United States RONIN
  • United States Etherian
  • United States CheckSix
  • United States Swole Patrol
  • World TBD (ESL Pro League move down)
  • United States eRa (Main #1)
  • Third Times a Charm (Main #2)
  • United States HentaiWeeabooMasterLords (Main #3/4)
  • United States h00liGaNz (Main #3/4)
  • United States AZIO (Intermediate #1)
  • United States Murderers Row 5 (Open #1)

However, there is one TBD spot on the list that has been marked as an ESL Pro League move down. Due to Immortals dropping out of the league, there was no direct demotion to MDL from Pro League  this past season, as Ghost were given a second chance at life in ESL Pro League Relegation. While according to a report from DRAFT5, that spot will be filled by 100Thieves, Dust2.us has reached out to both ESL Pro League and ESEA officials, and been told that is not confirmed.

It should be noted that further changes may yet occur to this list, as teams like FRENCH CANADIANS and Torqued currently boast severely depleted rosters.
