eRa claim the title over Third Times a Charm in the Grand Finals of ESEA Main

eRa Eternity claim ESEA Main title

The final of ESEA Main was decided over three maps, with eRa taking the crown over their opponents.

With the final game of ESEA Main occuring, the season has finally come to a close. As both teams have guaranteed qualification to the next season of ESEA MDL, on the line is the glory of becoming champions and the larger share of the $9,000 prize pot.

The first map began with eRa starting their CT-side off with a strong B-site hold on Overpass. They followed it up with the following two rounds, before continuing it into the first full buy round, with Wyatt "tw1ggy" Blatt kept up consistent fraggin performance. They continued the run until the seventh round, where TTaC entered the board. eRa pulled one back but it was then TTaC picking up the following rounds, with Gabriel "GMAN" Ordaz securing a three-kill round for their fourth.

eRa then halted the momentum of their opponents, with Wyatt "tw1ggy" Blatt holding Long A to deny the bomb plant twice to force an after-time win. Taking the following two rounds saw eRa take a strong lead, but TTaC secured the final round of the half, as eRa went into the half 10:5 up.

eRa's T-side began like their CT-side, securing the pistol round and the following anti-ecos. For the first buy round, it was Joshua "Hunter" Madore to put his team on his back, stopping eRa from heading to a potential match point. TTaC then pushed on to take three further rounds, but were then struck down by an eco-win from eRa, thanks to the power of the CZ-75.

Instantly TTaC followed that round with a win of their own, with Jordan "Zellsis" Montemurro and Manousos "fows" Kouidis picking up multi-kill rounds to attempt to keep their team in the game. But eRa finally secured their final two rounds, with fast site takes leading them to a 16:12 win.

Nuke was up next, and it was Third Times a Charm making their mark on the map with the pistol round, before taking the following anti-ecos. The first full-buy round came and they kept their lead, with Jordan "Zellsis" Montemurro securing important kills to make sure eRa couldn't take the round. Round six was where eRa was able to get on the board,  with Ben "ben1337" Smith securign multiple key frags throughout their five round run.

TTaC prevented eRa from taking the lead by exploding onto A-site and then performed a similar act to secure the following round. eRa did then manage to etch another round onto their score, but TTaC came out like a well oiled machine to take the final two rounds, going up 9:6 at the half.

eRa Eternity on their own T-side kick it off with a pistol round, following it up with the anti-eco rounds. Disaster struck on the full buy round, with a miss-thrown smoke causing them to lose to their opponents. With eRa then on an eco round, they manage to run fast into the B-site and take an unlikely round from their opponents. Joshua "Hunter" Madore was then his team's saviour, taking four kills with his AWP to prevent eRa to capitalise on their situation.

With TTaC edging closer to that magic number of rounds, eRa once again secure an eco-round win and this time manage to capitalise on their position with the following round, after sending their opponents onto an eco. With TTaC on a second eco, they manage to stop their opposition's run of rounds taking match point and the winning round, claiming Nuke 16:12.

With Train the deciding map, it was eRa on the CT-side taking the pistol round. After the first anti-eco went eRa's way, TTaC's force in the third round nearly went their way, only halted by a 3v1 clutch from David "phantom" S. From there eRa kept on rolling strong, including a round where Josh "oSee" Ohm picked up an ace, taking a strong 6:0 lead.

Third Times a Charm finally managed to pick up a round with strong teamplay, but their opponents immediately returned back on top. From there eRa secured another three rounds before TTaC returned to go on a small run of their own, taking four rounds before eRa claim the final round in the half, taking a 10:5 lead.

With eRa heading onto their T-side, they extend their lead by taking the pistol round and the following anti-ecos. The first full buy round also comfortably goes their way, placing them on match, series and league point. The expected did then happen, as eRa comfortably dispatched their opponents for a 16:5 win, and 2:1 overall.
