Triumph add cynic on trial
Triumph have added David "cynic" Polster on trial in place of Danny "cxzi" Strzelczyk. The change to Triumph's lineup follows a mixed start to the year for the organization after rebuilding the lineup in January.
Triumph's new lineup has struggled to assert themselves as a top domestic team, being bested on multiple occasions by rival lineups. In particular, Triumph have been eliminated from multiple cash cups and qualifiers by Extra Salt and Secret Club and currently have 0-3 records against both teams. Additionally, the team went out in last place during DreamHack Open January while winning only a single map against paiN.
The decision to bring cynic into the lineup comes after the 21-year-old player has been on a strong show of form, notably boasting a 1.54 rating over six maps in ESEA Premier Season 36 – the best in the division.
cxzi's contractual situation is currently unknown although a source within Triumph said the organization will comment on his status tomorrow.
Triumph are now:
- Alan "Shakezullah" Hardeman
- Brendan "Bwills" Williams
- Austin "Cooper" Abadir
- Wesley "viz" Harris
- David "cynic" Polster
- Marcos "tacitus" Castilho (Coach)
- Danny "czxi" Strzelczyk (Inactive)
Triumph are currently facing off against Rebirth in ESEA Premier Season 36. Interestingly that lineup currently includes cxzi, who joined in place of the recently departed Collin "wrath" McSweegan.
