PAIN ADVANCE TO ELIMINATION STAGE!
paiN are the first Brazilian squad to qualify for the next stage of the PGL Major Copenhagen after they bested SAW with a clean 2-0 win, as the Portuguese squad couldn't make Nuke, their own pick, competitive. paiN were regarded as one of the weaker teams, with many fans choosing them as a 0-3 team on their Pick' Ems.
The series started off on Vertigo, picked by paiN, with the Brazilians taking an early 3-0 lead which was quickly tied by the Portuguese. After a couple of rounds were traded, paiN would turn up a gear and finish the half with a 7-5 lead, going into the CT-side. That second half began with paiN reaching 11 before SAW could get back on the board, but when they did, SAW were very close to tying the game at 9-11 when another couple of rounds were traded and paiN ended up winning the map 13-10.
Nuke, although picked by SAW, was paiN's show, once again. Both teams have been looking very good on the map, but with the Brazilians starting on the favorable CT-side, they were off to a 7-0 lead before SAW could win three straight rounds. SAW climbed back a little bit as they cut the lead to 9-7, but paiN went back to the attack and closed the game 13-7.
