Liquid reportedly one of cadiaN's options, insider alleges
According to Russian insider Alexey "OverDrive" Birukov, recently benched Danish AWPer Casper "cadiaN" Møller is reportedly evaluating Liquid and Swedish organization NIP as potential destinations after four years with Heroic.
Earlier today, Heroic announced that cadiaN had mutually agreed to be moved to the bench after "differing visions" for the future of the lineup. cadiaN's tenure on Heroic saw the squad develop into an S-tier squad on the international stage, however despite the clear talent on the squad trophies were move elusive than expected. This would lead to the two parties splitting after disagreements over what needed to change to turn Heroic into a winning squad in CS2.
The potential of cadiaN choosing to join Liquid is quite exciting, as Liquid's European experiment has yet to bear fruit, with the team benching Aleks "Rainwaker" Petrov in recent days. However, the addition of cadiaN would likely require a radical shift to Liquid as cadiaN's desire to primary AWP would clash with Josh "oSee" Ohm and would see Mareks "YEKINDAR" Gaļinskis have to relinquish the IGL role.
Dust2.us reached out to Liquid for comment, with the organization declining to comment on OverDrive's reporting.
