Austin steps down from Detonate

Austin's departure reduces Detonate to three active players.

Last night, Austin "Austin" Meadows announced his decision to step down from ESEA Advanced team Detonate, with the move coming after the roster failed to secure a spot in playoffs after a 7-5 regular season.

This new iteration of Detonate was assembled back in late May, with the roster, helmed by Spencer "Pugg" Moore, finding modest success in the following months, claiming a third-fourth finish in the ESEA Cash Cup Circuit Finals. Additionally, the team, somewhat controversially, attended IESF 2023 in Romania with Collin "CoJoMo" Moren as a stand-in for Landon "landmaz" Lawrence.

Speaking of landmaz, with Austin out of the team, Detonate will actually be looking for two new players next season as landmaz was an extended stand-in for the team. Levoski Brown tells Dust2.us that Detonate never signed landmaz as the player made it clear he would focus on college after the end of Season 46.

Unfortunately, Austin did not respond to Dust2.us' request for comment on his departure, however a teammate told Dust2.us that they believe he will be focus on content and his stream moving forward.

Detonate are now:

  • United States Spencer "Pugg" Moore

  • United States Nolan "Louie" Herges

  • United States Mason "mason" Watkins
