Rainwaker's time has been cut short

Official: Liquid bench Rainwaker for BLAST

The Bulgarian will be sidelined during, at least, BLAST Premier Fall Showdown Americas.

Liquid announced on October 2nd that Aleks "Rainwaker" Petrov will be benched during, at least, the final tier one CS:GO tournament, BLAST Premier Fall Showdown Americas. Liquid have also announced that Rainwaker remains on the team.

As previously reported by Dust2.us and Russian leaker Alexey "OverDrive" Birukov, Rainwaker will be moved to Liquid's bench after just three months with the organization. The support player didn't get off to a strong start with his new team, which made him the main target for critics, regarding whether Liquid's move to Europe was the right play or not.

As Rainwaker moves to the bench, Damian "daps" Steele will be the stand-in for BLAST Premier Fall Showdown Americas. daps was also scheduled to stand-in at Malta for Robert "Patsi" Isyanov during ESL Pro League Season 18, but the Russian player managed to be present at the competition. Liquid's first match back in North American soil will be against Forsaken on October 5th.

Liquid's roster for BLAST Premier Fall Showdown Americas will be:

  • Canada Keith "NAF" Markovic

  • United States Josh "oSee" Ohm

  • Mareks "YEKINDAR" Gaļinskis

  • Robert "Patsi" Isyanov

  • Canada Damian "daps" Steele (Stand-in)
