Liquid eliminated in Pro League
Liquid were unable to find their way through the last chance gauntlet as they fell to Eternal Fire this afternoon in their second best-of-three of the day. Earlier, Liquid were able to overcome Lynn Vision in an incredibly close 2-0 win that could have gone either way. With the international squad struggling for today, there will be questions asked once again about the formation of this team as they have been unable to create notable results so far in second half of the year, and first few of their own formation.
The first map of the match was on Vertigo, one of Liquid's worse maps and one of Eternal Fire's favorites. The Turkish squad were slow to start on their CT-side, allowing Liquid to jump out to a 6-1 lead, but they quickly came back as they closed the half down 7-8. Liquid then had to go on their CT-side, and while they looked closer to victory, Eternal Fire ran riot and won eight rounds in a row before closing out the game 16-11.
Mirage was supposed to be a safe haven for Liquid, but it just spelled disaster. The squad only managed four rounds on their T-side in the first half, giving all the momentum away to their opponents. While Liquid would win the opening pistol for their CT-side, it was all Eternal Fire as the Turks closed out the game 16-6 and the series 2-0.
Liquid have now been eliminated from ESL Pro League.
