MIBR can't put Pyjamas to bed
The storied South American organization began their Katowice journey against one of the most historic, and most formidable, European organizations out there. NIP are coming into the event on uneven footing, after a last-second replacement for Hampus "hampus" Poser was needed when the organization recommended him to take time off.
In his place, the Swedes have resorted to using Kristian "k0nfig" Wienecke. With MIBR looking strong with new boy Felipe "insani" Yuji, they brought the fight in their opening match.
Duking it out on Nuke, MIBR were the first to take the offensive side and they would immediately grab the bull by the horns and bring the Americas region their third pistol win in a row. Just like paiN did on Vertigo against ENCE, they would win the first three rounds, but also just like paiN against ENCE, they would start to let the lead slip away. NIP would come back to take a 5-3 lead in the first half, but MIBR fought back valiantly and tied it all up at 7-7, before finishing out the half 8-7 on top.
With the sides switching to the defense, MIBR would once again, just like paiN, take the second pistol of the match. The Brazilians would start to separate themselves from the Swedes by pushing it to a 10-7 score, but they could not do much against the offensive might of the Ninjas. MIBR would start to let the rounds slip away and suddenly found themselves behind 12-10. Thanks to incredible round-saving performances from Henrique "HEN1" Teles and Breno "brnz4n" Poletto the squad was able to bring themselves back to lead 13-12, but NIP were simply too much and would come back once more to close it out 16-13.
MIBR going down, but looking strong as they now must play against the Australians from Grayhound tomorrow at 01:30PM.
